What should I send AAR for a windshield quote?
Call 832-303-0318 or email info@aarautoglass.com with the year, make, model, complete VIN, damaged glass and your Houston-area service address. Mention cameras, rain sensors and other windshield features. We’ll review the glass and service requirements with you, then confirm the appointment’s date, time and location.
How is a windshield replaced at my location?
The technician arrives for the confirmed service, removes the damaged glass and prepares the bonding surfaces. The new windshield is installed with the specified automotive-glass adhesive system, followed by cleanup and instructions for release and aftercare. Any ADAS calibration required by the vehicle manufacturer must also be planned; fitting the glass alone does not complete that requirement.
Does the 30–45-minute estimate mean I can leave immediately?
No. About 30–45 minutes is the typical installation time. Safe drive-away time and any required camera calibration are separate parts of the appointment, so leave room for both in your plans.
Do not drive or move your vehicle until the safe drive-away time provided by your technician has passed. This is based on the Dow U-428 Plus adhesive manufacturer’s temperature and humidity requirements.
Can I request OEM or OEE glass for my vehicle?
Yes, you can tell AAR your preference when requesting a quote. We must confirm which OEM, OEE or other aftermarket options are available and suitable for your vehicle. Provide the complete VIN and windshield feature details so the quote is based on the correct glass; no particular option is promised until confirmed.
How do I confirm the price and how to pay?
Ask for a quote that reflects your exact windshield, vehicle features, service address and any required ADAS calibration. Call 832-303-0318 to confirm the total, available payment methods and any payment arrangements before the appointment. Pricing and payment information from another vehicle or another glass company may not apply.
Why will my side window no longer move after the glass breaks?
A broken window can coincide with regulator damage or another fault, but the symptom does not establish the cause. See an auto mechanic for diagnosis first. AAR installs a correct customer-supplied regulator for $145 with free mobile service; we do not provide diagnostics, sell parts, shop for them or pick them up.
What are the limits of broken-glass cleanup?
The technician removes as much accessible glass as possible. Door reinforcements can restrict access, and our travel vacuums may leave carpet cleanup that requires a commercial vacuum. Remaining fragments inside a door need attention rather than an assumption that they will drain out. Observe the drive-away and car-wash waiting periods before making a trip for additional cleanup.
Which replacement warranty terms should I keep with my receipt?
These AAR terms apply to replacement work, subject to the full limitations and exclusions:
- Windshield stress cracks are guaranteed for 90 days from installation.
- Workmanship is guaranteed for the life of the vehicle, subject to limitations and exclusions.
- The warranty expires when vehicle ownership changes.
- Aftermarket antennas and devices are not guaranteed.
- AAR Auto Glass is not liable for incidental or consequential damages.
- Your receipt is required for warranty service.
- Warranty work is available Monday–Friday only.
What aftercare applies once the new windshield is installed?
Before leaving the service location, note the technician’s safe drive-away time. Keep the following instructions with your receipt; the later 24-hour and 48-hour precautions are additional to that initial wait.
Customer Aftercare Responsibilities
- Do not drive or move your vehicle until the safe drive-away time provided by your technician has passed. This is based on the Dow U-428 Plus adhesive manufacturer’s temperature and humidity requirements.
- After that waiting period, keep driving to a minimum for the remainder of the first 24 hours after installation as an additional precaution.
- Keep the retention tape in place for at least 24 hours.
- Leave a window open approximately one inch and avoid slamming doors for at least 24 hours.
- Avoid high-pressure car washes for at least 48 hours.

How do I plan for ADAS calibration with a new windshield?
If the vehicle has a windshield-mounted camera, ask AAR to review its calibration requirements before the glass appointment. Manufacturer instructions determine the required procedure and whether it can be carried out at your location. The absence of warning lights does not establish that calibration is unnecessary. AAR offers mobile ADAS camera recalibration for $250 on applicable vehicles; send the year, make, model and complete VIN to confirm service details.
ADAS Camera Calibration FAQ
Will my vehicle need ADAS camera calibration after windshield replacement?
If your vehicle has a windshield-mounted ADAS camera, the manufacturer may require calibration after replacement. The required procedure and whether it can be completed at your location depend on your vehicle and the manufacturer’s repair instructions. Include your year, make, model and complete VIN when requesting a quote, and ask about our ADAS camera recalibration service.
