Is it time for new wiper blades?

  1. Streaks or missed areas. Water remains in the wiped area.
  2. Chatter or skipping. The blade jumps instead of sweeping smoothly.
  3. Damaged rubber. Look for splits, cracks or a loose wiping edge.

Clean first, then check again

Residue on glass or blades can cause poor wiping. Replace damaged blades or blades that still clear poorly.

Use the correct fit. Follow your owner's manual.

If correctly fitted new blades still wipe poorly, ask a technician to check the glass, blade fit and wiper system rather than repeatedly replacing blades. These illustrations show warning signs, not a diagnosis of every wiping problem.
